12th Birthday (2015)

In these first 3 pictures Dallin is flying his brand-new, drove-all-over-town-to-find-the-perfect-model drone. He had 30 minutes of high flying fun when he flew the drone too far out of range of the remote and it fell onto a neighbor's roof or back yard. Thirty minutes. What followed for the next several days was "MISSING" posters on mailboxes, knocking on neighbor's doors and asking to search their property....lots of anguish. I'll cut to the end of the story -- we never saw that toy again.

Jarom and I took Dallin to dinner at Outback and then we had cake and ice cream with Grandma and Grandpa at their house. My mom made Dallin a "quillow". A quilt that can fold into a pillow. It was made out of Star Wars material and he loved it. She made one for all of her grandkids for their birthdays that year.

The following weekend we met Luressa and the girls at a park and had lunch and played. Luressa spoiled him with gifts. He outgrew his bathrobe that he has had since he was little. A new robe was much loved and much appreciated.

In our church, it's a big deal when a boy turns 12. They move on from the children's program which is called "Primary" and advance to the Young Men's program for their Sunday church meeting.  Most importantly, they are ordained to the Priesthood. Dallin had been looking forward to this for years. He has responsibilities in the church including passing the sacrament to the congregation. He takes his responsibility very seriously and does a good job. And he is the cutest Deacon I have ever seen!

 Grandpa Clouse ordained Dallin.
This is our Bishop Wayne Spencer, Uncle Greg, Dad, Dallin, Grandpa Clouse and Uncle Chris who were there for the ordination.
